Felina Brown, APRN

Author's Note

“One woman, many facets.”

I am Felina Brown, nurse practitioner, functional-integrative practitioner, medspa owner, psychiatric provider, podcaster, and mentor. I built Felina Sno so that healing, clarity, voice, and purpose could live under one roof, in one practice, by one hand. Every chapter here is a facet of the same work: helping people heal, elevate, and live on purpose.

The Story

“I started at the bedside. I never really left it.”

For twenty-five years I have worked in healthcare, and nearly all of it has come back to the same small, holy thing: a person, frightened or hurting, and the privilege of being steady for them. I learned at the bedside that medicine is not only what we prescribe; it is how present we are while we do it. Everything I have built since has been an attempt to keep that presence, and to give it more room to work.

I went back for my advanced-practice license because I wanted to do more than carry out a plan. I wanted to help write it. Becoming an APRN, and then a functional-integrative practitioner, let me ask a longer question: not just what is wrong, but why, and what would let this person feel like themselves again.

So I opened Felina Sno Wellness. People came in asking to look less tired, and underneath that was almost always a deeper ask: to feel like themselves again. Aesthetic and functional medicine became, for me, another door into the same work: care that meets you in the body you live in every day.

But bodies carry minds, and I kept meeting people whose pain was not only physical. So I trained and stepped into psychiatric care, and today I see patients through Elaion Mental Health at Verve Collaborative. I care especially for the people who spend themselves caring for others: first responders, healthcare workers, caregivers, and survivors of trauma and trafficking.

Through all of it runs my faith. It is the reason none of these rooms ever felt like separate jobs to me: they are one calling, lived out four ways. The podcast and the mentoring grew from the same root. I had walked the whole path without a map, and I wanted to leave one for the clinicians coming up behind me.

What I Believe

I believe care is meant to do four things, in order. To bring Healing where there is hurt. To offer Elevation where there is potential. To make Living, real and present living, possible again. And to do all of it on Purpose.
